DALA QYRANDARY COMMUNITY CENTRE
Community Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan ‘Dala Qyrandary' - is a youth public association created by authoritative sportsmen of the country. The main goal of the project is to unite active young people, help in their self-realisation and social adaptation. We strived to create a clear functional zoning corresponding to all activities. The interior has a modern style, reflecting the strength and durability of the chosen materials. Each zone is designed to provide a comfortable environment for young people to train, meet and socialise.

CONCEPT
The center focuses not only on sports, but also on intellectually capable and creative young people who combine studies, sports and participation in socially important projects. These young people grow up in a competitive environment where not only personal preparation is important, but also the desire to achieve high results. In this context, the space should reflect an atmosphere of competition and challenge.
The interior has elements of a sports arena — associations with a coliseum or a grandstand from where one watches competitions. The centrally located amphitheater plays a key role, as it is not only a venue for sporting events, but also a space for lectures, performances and public events.
ZONING
The interior of the center includes different functional areas: a common room for large groups (from 10 to 60 people), separate offices for small meetings, a room for multifunctional training and other spaces that meet the needs of different users. In this context, the common room space (to the right of the entrance) is the central point where meetings, lectures, award ceremonies and other important events take place. It is a spacious room with panoramic windows and an amphitheater where guests can comfortably watch the event from any seat.
Areas that welcome every visitor to the complex. These spaces are open and designed to easily handle the flow of people, avoiding queues. A wide checkroom provides convenient and quick service.
Sports activity halls include space for training in various formats. In the SportFit hall there is a professional martial arts ring, as well as all the necessary equipment for training. The interior is done in red and gray tones, which is a conscious departure from the traditional colors of Kazakhstan’s flag. These colors help to keep the focus on the training process without distracting attention from the tasks at hand.
On the walls — graffiti with images of famous athletes of Kazakhstan. These figures, who have traveled the path of perseverance and overcoming difficulties, have become part of the cultural code and authenticity. They remind of the achievability of goals and motivate young fighters to follow their example in the pursuit of success.
Opposite is the Bootcamp training room, where intensive cardio and strength sessions are held to maximize results in a short period of time. The competitive spirit is particularly pronounced here.
The space, divided by glass partitions and mirrors, with a single light line, visually expands it. The walls are equipped with scoreboards that synchronize with athletes' personal bracelets and display their results in ascending order. Classes are conducted by famous athletes who have achieved significant success in their disciplines.
In an area away from the general flow, we created a space for rest and snacks after training, where you can spend time with friends. It was important for us to continue the idea of competitive spirit, so the interior is made in bright red shades.
It also features a soft area with a headboard that blends seamlessly into the wall and a column decorated with graffiti elements. Tracker lighting allows you to adapt lighting scenarios depending on the number of people in the room, creating the right atmosphere.
There are comfortable and functional locker rooms next to the halls. We have provided tiered storage cabinets. Additional ice lamps behind the mirrors and under the benches provide dynamic lighting in the context of the overall energetic atmosphere. All furniture elements for the center, including the fighting ring, lockers in the locker rooms, bollards with mirrors and the reception desk, were custom-made to our own designs, which helps to create a unique atmosphere and match the concept of the center.
Dala Qyrandary is a project that was added to our portfolio in Kazakhstan and immediately appealed to the locals. It was not easy to work on it remotely, but we created an interior that inspires to compete and strive for self-improvement.
