GO BOXING GYM
GO Boxing Studio with an area of 370 m² is located on Novy Arbat, behind the "Oktyabr" cinema in Moscow. Customers found us according to modern trends — through social networks. Once having entered Instagram we read a direct message: "Good afternoon! Were these you who have designed the Section Club project?" So we met with the customer — and thus we’ve got our first project "from Instagram". The style of this project, as, probably, of all our other projects, we would call the architectural design. We have an architectural approach, we work with space, meeting the real needs of a person, we try to make honest interiors. We are not decorators, we work with function blocks. The hall is pure white, the dominant is the ring, the interior of this zone is being built around it, it is supported by its large red studio logo on one side and the inscription Let’s go champ! on another. It was no coincidence that we came up with it; it calls for action and echoes the name of the studio. In the dressing rooms the main blocks are cabinets: golden in the female and silver in the male. Their task is to dilute white, add some gloss, accent. We did not want to make bright spots in the dressing rooms, it should be calm and peaceful there, that’s why gold and silver, not color. This entire ring area is made for personal training. The main direction of the club is group classes. For this -2 floor is needed. Training takes place in the dark, with colored illumination around the periphery, there are many mirrors in the room — so that visitors can look at their technics in the mirror, which is necessary.

Reception desk is lined with mirror glass, which visually enlarges the space.
Initially, only one basement was allotted for the studio, but in such a space it would not have been possible to implement the conceived concept. Fortunately, the building had the opportunity to rent another floor below. We drew a rough layout, made sure that without additional space it would not work to make a project convenient for all criteria, and persuaded the customer to take this part as well. So we shook hands and continued work on the project. We almost always do pre-projects for free, before making an agreement with customers. This work allows us to understand whether we can work together along the way, it is very important. This is the first studio of Ildar and Halima, for them it is a new business. We have already completed several successful studios in Moscow, so we perfectly understood the ergonomics and logistics of such a project. A pure white studio is a little dissonance with boxing, as more often people associate a brutal loft with this sport. Our task was to make a boxing studio not for boxers, but for fitness lovers. Although the equipment selected by us will allow training for professionals.
